A brave soul- Sindhutai Sapkal #WriteBravely

“No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” – Cinderella

It’s rightly said that if you work meticulously then all your dreams would come true. There are many living examples to prove it, and Sindhutai Sapkal is one of them.

Her life has not been easy, married early in life to an older man ,when she wanted to study. Later, she was thrown out of her home while being pregnant, because she raised voice against injustice. Instead of  being disheartened, she stood up and the faced all the challenges life threw at her.

Today, she is fondly known as,’Mother of Orphans’. She started adopting abandoned children and considered them her own. And, now she is a proud mother of around 1050 children. Many of whom are successful in their respective fields. At the age of 80, she is still working to achieve her dream.

As someone who believes in adoption, she is an inspiration and gem of a person. Even if we can make difference in life of one person, our purpose of life is fulfilled.

You can read more about her and her organization here.

Do you know other people like her who work selflessly for betterment of other? Do share about those who inspire you.

I am participating in the Write Tribe Festival of Words – June 2018. Today’s prompt was the quote mentioned in the beginning of the post.

She is truly an inspiration. I’ve read about her and believe that the world is a better place because of people like her. There are many such people, the first one who comes to mind is Kailash Satyarthi.
