Yesterday is gone! #AtoZChallenge

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”   – Albert Einstein

Yesterday I was a day younger but today I am wiser. I was working to achieve my goal, but today I have succeeded. I had more friends yesterday, but today I have true friends. The past holds a special place in our hearts, a bond which is unshaken.

There may be a broken heart or broken dream in the past, it has no place in your present. Not all things in past are worth holding on. Let go off the past and look forward to the future. No use crying over it, let bygones be bygones.

I know it sounds easy & is tough to follow, but you have to try. Moving on will bring you more opportunities to experience joy & make memories.  Cheers to future! 🙂

Xpecting too much? #AtoZChallenge

Expectations – a strong word & emotion. Expecting from others is a part of life. Whenever someone enters our life, we set few expectations from them. If those are not fulfilled, we go through a chain of painful thoughts.

It’s only human tendency to have expectations from others. But, what to do if people don’t meet your expectations? Do you break away from all such people or give them a chance? Do you try to understand their point of view or ignore their pleas?

Expecting too much puts restrains on the relationship. Remember all your friends who were close to you, but today you have no contact. Each of you were expecting the other to make the first call. But, it never happened. And after years when you meet, there is only awkward silence. Do we need so much formality in our lives?

I am not suggesting you to be the giver all the time. Ofcourse, a relation where only you give 100% but get nothing in return is futile. But just for a moment think, may be you are expecting too much from a wrong person. Not everyone is the same. I have met people who are aloof & do not expect anything from others. Well, this behavior also is harmful and they end up alone.

Let’s try to balance the act of expecting & learn when to stop expecting too much. Maybe the time is not right or the person is not right!

Have you ever been disheartened by expecting too much? How did you overcome your loss? Do share your views with us!

Victory over pain! #AtoZChallenge

The year 2017 has been filled with lots of ups & downs for me. With every joy there was a pinch of pain. Like two sides of the same coin, the happiness & sadness have been together. The pain may be from lose of a loved one or a disappointment in job. No pain is small. At the end of the day what matters is your victory over pain.

“Tough times never last, but tough people do!”  – That should be the mantra of our lives. I could have succumbed to the feeling of pain, but eventually I overcame it. It’s not easy but you have to try. Try & try until you succeed.

You might be fighting your biggest battle of life, but remember it’s your story. You can write it as you want. To be a winner or not is in your hands. If you are feeling low, then reorganize yourself & strike the pain again. Hit it until it loses. And, trust me it will.

If you find yourself alone, then talk to your family or friends. At least one of them would stand by you. It’s not necessary to take on everything single-handedly. A team that supports you is always an advantage. Do not hesitate to initiate. Just take a small step, others will take you forward.

I might sound to be self-boasting right now, but I am not. I just want you to know that you are not alone. We are here with you & the pain will subside eventually.

If you would like to talk about your pain, then do share. We are just a click away. Hope you have a good day! 🙂

Oops, I am too outspoken! #AtoZChallenge

I speak too much for my own comfort level. What should I say? I have been gifted with extremely absurd sense of speech.  Maybe, I should get a grip and learn to shut down my mouth and not be outspoken. Don’t think that I have not tried doing it, I try my best. But, the thankless brain shoots out words before even processing them!

It’s not that I am always like this, but sometimes things just fall out of line and happen. Take an example, last week there was a person boosting himself way too much in a social gathering. Everyone else was Ok-ish with it. But, my big mouth had to speak & that person is not talking to me till now. Is it a good thing or bad?

I can quote another example of when I had first joined job. Fresh out of college & too eager to give my inputs in a meeting. I spoke too soon since I had just gone through the training about the topic. And, others( Read: few Seniors) did not like it. As long as I was working with them they had an issue with it. In my defense, it was a brainstorming session. Isn’t it suppose to be all about everyone equally giving their ideas?

We all will have many such incidents in life, where we regret speaking too much or too little. I can assure you I have a whole book to write about it. But, in the end I have learnt to have a grip and implement ‘think before you speak’ policy.

Do you have any such embarrassing incidents which you would like to share? It’s okay to share, we can all learn something from it. 😉

Friday Night Fantasy ! #AtoZChallenge

‘Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go…’  – Abba (Dancing Queen)

(Image from internet)

I was in school when I first sang this song as part of music competition and it has stuck with me ever since. This song was our first encounter with the Friday feeling. Friday nights are meant to go out & party. Within the first week of job itself we were eagerly waiting for the weekend. And after so many years I am still as excited as before.

And since it’s Friday night, I am in mood for some dance & music, little hip hop or Bhangra. I may even watch a movie tonight or read some novel. But today is break time from writing ! Happy Weekend everyone 🙂
