Evening’s delight! #AtoZChallenge

Last chapter

sunset14 February, 6:30 P.M.

The sea waves crashing against the rocks at Marine Drive & the shadow of  the setting sun on the water is a sight to behold. Ananth & Natasha had always loved watching the sunset together. It was one such evening when Ananth had proposed Natasha with the onlookers looking at them suspiciously.

Marine drive had been a witness to their proclamation of love. It was here they had first hugged each other & shared their first stolen kiss. Many evenings were spent walking hand in hand along the Queen’s Necklace. Today also they were back to where their love began.

‘Chana jor garam’ & ‘ek cutting chai’ were the favorite pre-meal snack they both savored. They sat on the bench watching the fishermen return with the day’s catch. Very few words were shared, as their eyes did all the talking. For a stranger, they would look like new lovers – shy & dreamy. Both of them were content with each other’s company.

After what seemed like ages they moved towards Girgaon Chowpatty to relish the famous Pav-bhaji and Biryani. The high-end restaurants could not beat the charm of Mumbai’s street food.  The last treat for the day was Mango ice-cream at the Natural’s Ice cream parlor. What more can they ask for their evening’s delight?
