Sleep while you can – everyone had advised Natasha when she was spending her nights binge watching Friends series. And, she should have listened then because now sleep evades her.
If only she could lay comfortably, close her eyes and sleep uninterrupted. But, she could not ignore the yelling bladder at night and no position is comfortable to sleep. The nights are spent turning right or left. Because the baby doesn’t like either side for long.
‘Ah! When will I be able to sleep! I can’t even roll. The baby keeps kicking and poking.’, exclaimed Natasha nudging Ananth.
‘Nats, you should really ask your doctor about it. No sleep is not good for baby.’, spoke a sleepy Ananth.
Second trimester was better, at least she could sleep more. With three months still to go, a good night’s sleep looked like a distant dream. She walked out of the room and tried to get comfortable on the couch and eventually fell asleep. Thus, another night was spent tossing and turning in hope of sleep.

(26th April 2018 - 19:29)‘Good night and sleep tight’ does remain a dream for long, specially when one is at Natasha’s stage.
