Soon after the ultrasound, Ananth & Natasha had informed their parents about the pregnancy. Natasha was provided a list of do’s & don’ts by her mother. What to eat, what to avoid, and another million things.
Natasha was happy that she could finally discuss her pregnancy with her mother.
‘Maa, why is it called morning sickness when I feel sick throughout the day?’, asked a tired Natasha during their daily telephone conversation.
‘And mom when will my head stop hurting. During meetings my head is constantly buzzing as if it would explode!’
‘Silly girl, it happens with everyone’, replied her mother.
‘Maa, I can’t even have my coffee. My breakfast is incomplete without it. And, I guess soon I will have to go shopping for clothes. My jeans don’t fit me any more.’, spoke Natasha in a sad tone.
‘My darling daughter, it’s all for your child. Do you want me to come and stay with you for few days’, told her mother.
‘No, I will manage on my own mom. Someone is calling me, I will call you again in sometime, Love you!’ and Natasha ends the call to talk to second caller.
‘Hello, Is this Natasha? I am Nikhil, Ananth’s colleague. You need to come soon to Healthcare hospital.’ spoke the caller on other end.
‘Why? what happened? Is Ananth fine?’
‘Please come soon’, replied Nikhil and disconnected the call before Natasha could ask any more questions.
